What is the Frightmare: RAGE ROOM experience?

Have you ever found yourself imagining how satisfying it would be to smash up electrical appliances or ornate decorative items without facing the consequences such as guilt or having to clean it all up? Maybe you are a well-rounded individual that hasn’t, but here at Frightmare: RAGE ROOM, you can learn exactly how it feels to stick on some protective gear, choose a baseball bat, golf club or a weapon of your choosing, and take out any and all emotions you have on extremely breakable things such as office printers, TVs or grossly decorated vases.

As part of the experience, we also have Slingshot Alley. Think of it as target practice with glass bottles, a slingshot, and a bunch of rocks. The whole event is beautifully destructive and is a great way to blow off some steam or best yet, makes for an unusual, memorable experience between you and/or your mother, brother, sister, lover, etc.

What do I get to smash?

Whatever we’ve got!

There’ll be a mix of satisfyingly smashable objects in the room which may include: TVs, printers, ceramics, glassware, furniture, computers, phones, etc. No guarantees can be made as to which items are in which rooms, and each experience will vary slightly.

If you are feeling extra destructive you can pay an additional fee for some bigger items like a copier or tumble dryer, for more info please contact us at info@frightmare.co.uk.

How much does it cost/ how long is each session?

£45 for 20 minutes for 1-2 people. Experience includes Frightmare: RAGE ROOM and Slingshot Alley.

Please note there is an additional £2.50 booking fee.

Is there an age limit?

The experience is currently for those aged 16+, please be aware that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We are working to make this experience inclusive of those aged 12+, please refer back here in a week or so for updates.

Are there any restrictions?

Unfortunately due to the nature of the experience and likely debris, you will not be able to take part if you are or suspect you may be pregnant. The physical and mental exertion needed to partake in the experience, may also not be suitable for certain medical conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, cardio/respiratory disorders, hypertension, skeletal, joint or ligament problems and some mental illnesses. Participants should discuss concerns with their GP or a medical professional before taking part.

Is there parking available?

We don’t have a specific car park but we are located in the city centre where there is ample parking nearby. Head over to Gloucester City Car Parks for more info.

Also, check out the ‘Find Us’ tab for deets regarding public transport!

What is your cancellation policy?

As per our terms and conditions, all bookings are non-refundable. Booking may be transferred to another date or time as long as prior notice of 24 hours is given.

Can I play my own music?

Yes! We encourage it, smashing stuff up to music of your own choosing is a far better experience, though if you’re feeling indecisive or you don’t think your music carries the right vibe, we’ve got a playlist ready to go!

Can I record my experience?

Yaaas, rather than paying for your footage and having to wait for it to be sent to you, we’ve provided phone/camera mounts in the rooms. Record yourself in destructor mode for free and take the footage away instantly! Don’t forget to tag us on socials #frightmarerageroom, and see if you are more destructive than our other ragers.

What time should I arrive?

You need to arrive on time at the latest! Preferably, you will arrive around 10 minutes earlier than your booking time to ensure it all goes without a hitch. Remember, late equals less. If you are late, you will have less time for slingshotting and smashing.

What should I wear?

You’ll be provided with all the protective gear you’d need for a smashing time, but you still need to be sensible with your outfit choices. Come in comfortable clothing and make sure to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes.

No heels, no sandals, no flip-flops - you get the idea!

Is the experience accessible?

Yes! This experience is wheelchair accessible.

Do you do bigger group experiences?

Only two people can be in the rage room at a time, but if you would like to come with a bigger group, you can watch members of your party in the rooms via a live feed. With more people, you’ll need more time, so book consecutive time slots and go nuts!

Do you accept walk-ins?

Subject to availability. Pre-booking is strongly advised!

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope, just yourselves and a camera if you plan to record your experience. You will be provided with safety equipment and a weapon of your choosing.

Can I book for a future date past March?

As it's a new venture, we've only released dates for January-March, for now, to see how it goes!

We'll review this in early February and look to launch April tickets. At the beginning of March, we'll review it again and will hopefully launch tickets for May, and so on. So, if you're planning a Birthday smash-up and we haven't released those dates yet, hold your horses and check back the month before.

Can I bring my own items to smash?

Maybe! You will need to check with us well in advance, some items are not permitted for health and safety/ insurance reasons. Get in touch beforehand and we’ll go from there.

Can I donate items to Frightmare: Rage Room?

Same as above, maybe! We have a list of pre-approved items, so get in touch at info@frightmare.co.uk and we’ll see if we can take your items off your hands. It’s a great way to recycle and bring people some joy, so if we can take them, we will!

What do I do if I’ve lost or haven’t received my ticket?

Don’t panic; we can fix this. If you are positive that you completed your booking successfully, we can find your details on our system, at the Frightmare: RAGE ROOM desk.
